The Trinity United Church of Christ says the media is responsible for assassinating Rev. Wright's character. How in the world do they come up with that? They sell Wright's sermons which spews his filth. The way I see it, Wright and his church should be held responsible. The media did not edit his sermon. The words that came out of his mouth were his own. When he says G.D. America, that comes from him. He is anti-American and blames everyone for the oppression of his people.
The church says Wright "has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe." First of all, where does he come off thinking he is America's hero. Talking about the oppression of women, well, he slammed Hillary pretty good. Actually, his so-called sermon was more about how unfair he feels blacks are treated. What in the heck does he mean by a "social gospel". As a practicing Christian, I don't need a "social" gospel. The gospels in the bible work great for me just as they are. He doesn't need to "socialize" it. Social gospel... what a crock! He falls right in line with the left wing loons and their "social" agendas. Who are they trying to kid? They're just an activist group hiding behind the blood of Christ. How in the world can a Christian church back a candidate that believes in partial birth abortion. I'll tell you how... it's because their "social" agenda is more important to them than their Christian principles.
The church's current pastor, Otis Moss III, said, "The African-American Church was born out of the crucible of slavery, and the legacy of prophetic African-American preachers since slavery has been and continues to heal broken, marginalized victims of social and economic injustices. This is an attack on the legacy of the African-American Church, which led and continues to lead the fight for human rights in America and around the world." Now, does this sound like a church that is serving God, or does this sound like a church that is serving their own personal agendas?
Remember, too, that Barack Obama was part of this church for 20 years by his own admittance. Further, he said that Wright was his spiritual advisor. You can't tell me that he did not know his how his pastor felt about American and the "rich white people". He denounced Wright and said his teachings don't reflect his values. I say baloney... you don't attend a church for 20 years and have your kids baptized by this man if you don't agree with his teachings.
