A gay couple that lived in a state that recognizes gay unions are now complaining that they have lost their benefits because they moved to Idaho, a state that does not recognize same sex unions.  Of course, the ACLU is now involved. 

"We've been wrestling with Konica Minolta for months hoping that we could simply persuade them quietly to do the right thing," said Jack Van Valkenburgh, executive director of the ACLU of Idaho.  Hmm... he wants them to "quietly" do the right thing.  Yeah right, he just wants them to break a few rules to allow a couple to maintain benefits because they were stupid enough to move to a state that would not recognize their little arrangement.  Of course, Van Valkenburgh says that the ACLU would not rule out legal action.

What kind of baloney is this?  The ACLU and the looney couple think an entire state should change their laws just because they moved!  There used to be consequences for performing stupid actions.  Now, when the liberals decide to do something stupid, there is a law suit to support their stupidity!

Last week Judge Olszewski Jr. ordered 3 hispanics, who pleaded guilty for criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, to learn the English language.  The judge sentenced the defendents to 2 years in prison, however, he reduced their sentences to the 3 months they already servered on the condition that they find full-time employment within 30 days, earn their GEDs and learn the English language.  According to the sentence they must learn English within a year and pass a test.  If they fail to meet those conditions, they will return to prison to serve the full 24 months.

If you ask me, they got off easy!  I am happy to see a judge that pushes immigrants to speak the language though.  The only thing that could have been better would be to have them thrown in prison for their crimes and learn English as a condition to be released.

Why do we make a big thing about global warming?  Now I understand that there is some misinformation about the subject and global warming is often used as a political weapon, but really, why make a big thing about it.  I mean, conserving energy and controlling polutants isn't a bad thing.  It should be a personal responsibility to do these things.  So why don't we just let it go?  I think it just brings more attention to Al Gore and his politics.  It makes conservatives look like bad guys if we dispute it.

Now, my own research on the subject has convinced me that the human impact on global warming is just not as significant as Gore makes it out to be.  It is a natural cycle.  Global warming will come about no matter what we do.  Do humans exacerbate the situation?  Well, maybe a little, but, as we know Al Gore gets the big awards for "making us aware" even though his "carbon footprint" is quite large.  Oh well, so what!  I think that conservatives should let it go and not concentrate our resources getting in a political battle over it.

Look, put your cans and plastic in the recycle bin and let's concentrate on the our national security.
