During Obama's tenure as a state legislature, he made it clear that he supported the anti-gun liberals.  He was asked point blank by the "Independent Voters of Illinois" if he supported a "ban [on] the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns" and he said "yes".  Of course, his campaign is denying that ever happened because he is trying to get the Pennsylvania votes.  Pennsylvania has the highest number of hunters of any state in the nation.

In 1998, an Illinois Legislative National Political Awareness Test reveal that Obama wanted to "ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons".  The majority of handguns are semi-automatic weapons.

On his website, however, he says he supports the Second Amendment and wants to protect gun rights.  What changed his mind?  Well, he is running for President and he wants votes even if he has to change his position to get them.  That's a big problem because it doesn't tell us what he really thinks.

He has fed the nation a bowl full of B.S. about how his beliefs are not aligned with Jeremiah Wright and now he wants us to eat his gun control pie.

Give me a break!  Mr. Slick, start speaking the truth!

You know, I have friends that have jumped on the "Bush-haters" bandwagon.  Of course, they have no substantive reason for it other than trying to be P.C. among the liberals.  Anyway, they tell me that the economy has been lousy since Bush took office.  I always ask them if they are better off today than they were 8 years ago.  Most of them are doing pretty well so they try to derail the subject by ranting about the war instead.

Well, Hillary and Bill remind me of my friends.  So I gotta ask them... How's it going for you economically?  Hmm... I supposed earning $109 million since Bush has been in office is pretty darn good!

I have been sitting on the fence on this one.  On one hand, why should we attend the Olympics when China is committing huge human rights violations.  On the other hand, the Olympics should be about athleticism, not politics.  It seems difficult to draw a definite line where politics stop and the athletics begin because of our different value systems.  However, after some time to think about it, I believe we should attend.  I believe our athletes should have chance to compete against the world's best.  After all, while our beef might be with China, it shouldn't stop us from competing against all the other nations.  In fact, I believe attending the Olympics makes a political statement in itself.  It says we are proud to move forward no matter what the circumstances.  Oh, but what about the political ramifications?  Well, I say our athletes should train hard and beat the snot out of the Chinese athletes.  Further, let's bring home some gold medals.

The Right Wing Squadron supports our Olympic athletes.  Go kick butt and take names!!!
