Obama says that Wright did not always speak hatefully of America and whites.  However, I see that Wright came off of his "sabatical" with more anti-American baloney.  Speaking at a funeral for the late Judge R. Eugene Pincham, a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Wright said America’s mistreatment of blacks is the result of the founding fathers, who “planted slavery and white supremacy in the DNA of this republic.”

He we go again! It's all about blacks and hate of this country.  As a Christian who just doesn't care about what color your skin happens to be, I just don't get it.  No Christian service that I have attended ever said anything about the condemnation of race nor have I ever attended any government function that encouraged the mistreatment of any race.  In fact, I have only known these organizations to encourage racial and cultural tolerance.

Wright is living in the past.  His brain stopped somewhere before 1968.  Wake up Mr. Wright (i refuse to call him reverend), it's 2008 and the country has been trying very hard to move away from racial intolerance for the past 30 years.

Now I will not go as far to say racial intolerance doesn't exist at all.  However, the fact of the matter is this country does not have policy of supporting racial intolerance.  America has gotten a lot better about tolerating other races and cultures.  However, Wright seems to encourage and support racial division.

I am sick and tired of his baloney.  If he hates America so much he should just pack it up and find a another country in which to live.

I got in a discussion with one of my more liberal friends and he told me that he did not understand why people like me are so far right.  I told him that conservatives are not really right of center.  Actually, conservatives "appear" to be right of center because the looney left keeps trying to redefine this country's values.  As I told him, conservative values are actually the same values this country had long before I was around and, in fact, they are very much in line with the generation that fought for our country during WWII.  This generation was known as the "Greatest Generation".  My generation, the "Baby Boomers" really moved this country towards the left.  The so-called "Hippies" were a big part of my generation.  They were proud to have been a part of the "sexual revolution" and identified themselves with "I'm OK, you're OK", "free love", the proliferation of drugs and anti-war protests that hurt the country.  Joining the military without getting drafted (as I did) at that time was not a very popular thing to do.  While I was proud to have served my country, it wasn't something you "wore on your sleeve".

So really the "right" is actually where the center was until the looney left wing liberals, the secular progressives and organizations like the ACLU pushed the envelope farther left (as they still do).  I think it's about time to stand by our values and teach children the values by which the "Greatest Generation" lived.  After all, what's wrong with being polite, waiting for marriage for having children, respecting the elderly, loving our country, thinking of others, protecting gun rights, marraige as a union between a man and a woman, stopping the baby killing pracitces of abortion, saying the pledge of allegience, allowing our children to pray without fear of repercussion, saying "Merry Christmas" during the holidays and being a patriot.
