I know that everyone and their brother is beating this horse to death, however, I just feel compelled to blog on it.  Huh, go figure!  Anyway, to be completely honest, I think Mr. Slick did a pretty good job in his response to Wright's slanderous remarks.  But, then again, that is what makes him slick.  Ok, so before we grant him complete immunity from Jeremiah Wright and his looney teachings I want to zero in on something he said.  In his response, Obama said that the so-called "Rev." Wright he met nearly 20 years is not the "Rev." Wright that he heard at the National Press Club.

Ok, let's see... is he trying to tell us Wright made a complete 180 on the very day that he ranted at the NPC and up to that point he had been a complete non-racial, America loving, non-animated, sweet as honey pastor.  Sorry, I don't think so.  Let's remember, we heard the "snippets" from his sermon of Sept 16, 2001 where he said the "chickens are coming home... to roost".  So, even though Obama says he wasn't there for that particular sermon, he can't tell me he never knew of Wright propensity to racial divisiveness and hating America.  Nah, I don't buy it.  So Mr. Slick continues to be, well, slick!

On his recent interview with Bill Moyers, Jeremiah Wright said that his comments were taken out of context.  I thought that was fair so I listened to the whole sermon and it did not change his filthy remarks.  His comments stink now just as much as it stunk when I first heard it!

In fact, he continued blasting the US and making racially divisive statements at his appearance at the National Press Club.  He said, "You cannot do terrorism on other people and expect it never to come back on you. Those are biblical principles, not Jeremiah Wright bombastic, divisive principles."  The United States of America does not do "terrorism".  That is his unpatriotic opinion... not fact.  He is using the bible to spread his personal agenda.  As a matter of fact, he is making statements that are out of the context of the bible.  He blasted criticism of his patriotism because he served six years in the military.  He asked if his time in the service made him patriotic.  No it doesn't make him patriotic.  John Kerry served in the military and I only see him as a coward.  I served more time in the military than Wright and Kerry combined.  That in itself does not make up my patriotic values.  My love for this country and my desire to advance our core values makes me patriotic.

Wright is a cartoon character looking for attention.  While the rest of America wants to move past its racial divisiveness, Wright wants to keep it alive.  He likes to play the victim and he wants black America to remain victims.  Look, I am not black nor am I white or latino.  However, I have been on the business end of racially charged remarks and actions, but I don't let it make me into a victim.  I look past that sort of treatment.  I have served this country honorably and I love America.  The last thing I want is a racially divisive population.

Wright, get over it!  Why don't you retire and enjoy that big new house?  In fact, thank those good folks at your church who struggle every day to make a living that help buy you that house.  You blame white folks for keeping the black man down while you put the mortgage on the backs for your congregation.

Jeremiah Wright says it is unfair that people are criticizing him for his anti-American and racist remarks.  He, in fact, says that it is an attack on the "Black Church".

Oh, come on!  Again, the loon shows he cannot take personal responsibility for his remarks.  He puts it off on the rest of America who happen not to agree with him.

As a Christian, I don't understand this thing about a "Black Church".  I don't remember reading anywhere in the bible where Jesus said anything about a "Black Church".

The church is made up of the body of Christ which happens to be "all" Christians.  If you ask me, I think Jeremiah Wright is the one who is making divisive statements that not only divide us by race, but he is also dividing Christians.

Get real Jeremiah Wright... I refuse to call this guy "Reverend"!

The Democrats are proposing a mortgage bailout that would authorize the FHA to guarantee up to $300 billion in new mortgages offered by government-approved private lenders. The new mortgages could at most equal 90 percent of a home's current value.

Only homeowners who have a mortgage-debt-to-income ratio of 35 percent or higher and who entered into a mortgage before January would qualify for the program.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat, says the millions of individuals who might face foreclosure because of the expanding credit crisis deserve help, even if they made a mistake by borrowing beyond their means.

"There are people who made loans that should not have been made; there are some people that were wrong to take the loans out, some wrong to make the loans. If nothing happens and all those loans go under foreclosure, the economy suffers," he said.

Yes, there are a lot of people who have gotten themselves in a bind with their homeloans.  I sympathize with them, but is it the responsibility of people who made the right decisions about living within their means to pay for those who didn't?  Maybe I am being to harsh and I know I would want some sort of relief if I was in a bind.  However, I just don't think it is right to penalize the taxpayers for bad decisions by both the borrowers and the lenders.

Here are what Republicans are saying...

"You're telling the guy who did it right that he has to help pay for the guy who did it wrong," said Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas. "When people are struggling to pay for their mortgages, they shouldn't be forced to pay for their neighbors' mortgage.

"I think about 95 percent of America is either renting a home, they own their home outright, or they're current on their mortgage," he said. "So 95 percent of America who's doing it right is asked to help bail out 5 percent of America who probably wasn't doing it right."

I believe the Bush Administration has it right by calling it a "bailout".

I think the Democrats are just contributing to the victim mentality of this country.  Personal responsibility is a value that the liberals just don't embrace.

Am I too hard core?

Hillary Clinton made a good showing in the Pennsylvania Primary.  I also think she came out of the pre-primary debate in better shape than Obama.  Barack Obama criticized ABC for asking trivial questions, however, I think the questions were fair enough.  If he can't handle the tough questions and criticisms, then he should think twice about running for the Oval Office.  However, because Mr. Slick thought the debate was unfair, Hillary Clinton is offering Obama an invitation to a non-moderated, Lincoln-Douglas style debate.

“You know, after the last debate in Philadelphia, Senator Obama’s supporters complained a little bit about the tough questions. And you know, tough questions in the debate are nothing compared to the tough questions you get asked when you’re president and you have to answer them to make tough decisions,” she said.

“So here’s my proposal: I’m offering Senator Obama the chance to debate me one-on-one, no moderators. Just the two of us, going for 90 minutes, asking and answering questions. We’ll set whatever rules seem fair.”

Mr. Slick, however, says he will not have another debate.  Chris Wallace of Fox News asked Obama why he was repeatedly "ducking" Clinton's proposal.  Obama said, “I’m not ducking. We’ve had 21 (debates), and so what we’ve said is, with two weeks, two big states, we want to make sure we’re talking to as many folks possible on the ground taking questions from voters,” he said, so no debates.

Now I believe that Obama will still win the nomination for the Surrender Party.  However, I think he realizes his assocations with questionable people and the lies in which he has been caught is causing the wind to shift a bit.  Another debate would just continue moving the momentum in Clinton's direction.  I think she has him on his heels!

I listened to his sermon in totality.  It doesn't change the filth that he spewed!  Listen for yourself... if you can stand it!

There are more than a few Republicans and conservative talk show hosts that are criticizing Senator John McCain for running a "respectful campaign".  By now you probably have already heard about an ad produced by the North Carolina Republican Party that hammers Obama.  If you are not familiar with the ad, you can watch it below...

“We called and asked them not to run that message. It’s not the message of the Republican Party. It’s not the message of my campaign. I’ve pledged to conduct a respectful campaign,” McCain said during a press conference Wednesday. “I can’t dictate to them but I want to be the candidate of everybody. I want to be the candidate of Republicans and Democrats and Independents and people across the political spectrum and I think that by traveling America and listening and learning as well as portraying my vision for the future, I’m going to attract a large number of independents and democrats into our cause because right now the cause is America and right now the cause is that Americans want us to work together to solve these enormous challenges that we face today.”

Looks like John McCain upset some Republicans and talk radio hosts (big surprise).  They view his tactic as weak and think McCain join in with the "bashing".  I can see how they may feel that way, however, look at all the criticism the Democrats are getting about their ultra-negative campaigning.  No, I think McCain knows exactly what he is doing.  As a good military man, he is waiting for the right time to strike.  He hasn't seen the "whites of their eyes" yet.  I believe he is playing a strategic move.  I think he is waiting for the Democratic candidate to draw first blood before he unleashes the McCain fury.  That way it will look like the Dems are the agressors.  However, the Surrendar Party better stand by because when McCain decides to strike back, it could be ugly!

GryphonWell, it's not Squadron Commander Boomer.  In fact, it isn't even one of his wing men, but it is an interesting concept that may make inserting troops by parachute obsolete.

The vehicle is called the Gryphon and weighs only 30 lbs.  If has a 6 ft wingspan and can carry 100 lbs of combat gear.  Using the Gryphon, soldiers can make jumps at 30,000 ft. and travel at speeds of around 130 knots.

Typical high altitude, high-opening, or HAHO, jumps from around 27,000 feet allow soldiers to travel only about 30 miles after exiting the aircraft.  However, The Gryphon could increase that range fourfold, creating an attack corridor of nearly 125 miles. Unaffected by headwinds or crosswinds because of its favorable lift-to-drag ratio, the glider would allow elite units to reach targets with increased speed, precision and stealth.

The Gryphon’s built-in oxygen supply system allows soldiers to jump from up to 30,000 feet. And with temperatures at that altitude sometimes reaching minus 64 degrees Fahrenheit, every second counts. Even in upwind conditions, the Gryphon could reduce HAHO jump duration to a third, from an average of 45 minutes to just 15, vastly reducing the risk of exposure to extreme cold.

When I first saw the Gryphon and read it's capabilities I thought, "they must be kidding".  However, they are serious and the more I considered it, the more I saw the value of vehicle.  I think, though, that there are other considerations like cost, how to ditch the glider so as not to be "re-used' by the enemy, how the size of the unit will effect the amount of troops that can be loaded into the aircraft, etc.  Ok, so maybe the Gryphon is not ready for prime time just yet.  We'll have to keep an eye out for further developments.

The problem is people don't really know much about Obama.  He fails to give direct answers to tough questions.  He really doesn't reveal a plan to move this country forward.  I believe, however, recent events are beginning to define the man.  I think a lot of people are beginning to see Barack Obama for who he really is.  Also, they now see a man who deals with terrorists (William Ayers) and racist America haters like Jeremiah Wright.  Obama is dangerous for this country.  Even more so than Hillary.  If you haven't had a chance, view the video I posted in my last blog entry.  It says a lot about Obama's plans to protect Americans.

Obama's resume...

  • A follower of Jeremiah Wright for 20 years
  • Has a relationship with William Ayers
  • Wants to pull out of Iraq regardless of the consequences
  • National Review found him to be the most liberal of any Senator in DC
  • "Waffles" on gun rights (pardon the pun)
  • Would rather finish his waffles than dicuss foreign policy issues
  • Wants to double our Capital Gains Tax even though history shows that raising CGT decreases government revenues
  • Supports partial birth abortion
  • Complains about having to pay back his student loan
  • Throws his grandmother under the bus, calling her a typical white person for her racial remarks
  • Calls hard working blue collar Americans bitter
  • Claims he was raised by his mother to make a point about being underprivileged although he told everyone earlier that he was raised by his grandmother
  • Says he doesn't want his daughters "punished" with a baby
  • Says he never heard Wright's anti-American and racial statements, then later says he did
  • Spends 3 times the money on his campaign than Hillary Clinton and still can't shake her
  • Says he never said he refused to wear a flag pin, but he did (see my post)
  • Will not hold his hand over his heart during the national anthem

Ok, I am tired of typing, but we could go on and on!
