"There's no one I would rather be on a ticket with than John McCain," said Huckabee.  "All during the campaign when I was his rival, not a running mate, there was no one who was more complimentary of him publicly and privately. ... I still wanted to win, but if I couldn't, John McCain was always the guy I would have supported and have now supported."  Huckabee went on to say, "But whether or not I do the best for him, that's something that only he can decide..."

As a Conservative Christian I like Mike Huckabee and I would find a McCain/Huckabee ticket very desirable.  I am not sure how this would work out against the Democrats though.  Perhaps a McCain/Rice ticket would make a stronger run against Obama and whoever he takes with him.  But, then again, Rice has already said she is not interested in V.P.  Rice is a little soft on abortion as far as I am concerned.

It's going to be interesting to see who the GOP and Dem candidates select as their running mates.

Mr. Slick is complaining about a Tennessee GOP ad that shows Michelle Obama delivering a speech in February where she said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country."  In the ad, Nashville voters tell viewers why they are proud of their country.

Now, most of you are familiar Michelle Obama's gaf.  This woman, who had the privilege of going to Ivy League schools, albeit through the assistance of government backed student loans, complains about the country who has afforded her the opportunity to attend such schools.  Let's not even get into the Obama's annual salary.  This is the same woman that complains about having to pay back her student loans.

So Mr. Slick, on CBS's Good Morning America, said, "“The GOP, should I be the nominee, I think can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record...” Obama said, with his wife sitting next to him. “If they think that they’re going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful because that I find unacceptable, the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family...lay off my wife".

It is noble that he wants to protect his wife.  However, if she wants to campaign for her husband and give speeches on the stump, then she is fair game.  If Mr. Slick does not want his wife criticized, then she should stay out of the lime light.

Oh, by the way, he explains that he now wheres a flag pin because veterans gave him the pin and that he is "proud" to wear it.  Hmm... well, why wasn't he proud to wear it before.  This guy is really full of it.  For those who say they like him because he doesn't act like a politician... wake up, you are being bamboozled!

Here is the Good Morning American interview...
