So maybe you don't follow world and national events.  Actually, a lot of people fall into this category.  However, you want to vote.  You hear people talking about some guy named Barack Obama and another person, John McCain.  Ok, so you don't want to just flip a coin and mark a candidate this time.  So for whom do you vote when you just don't have time to study the issues?

Ok, the Right Wing Squadron will make it easy for you folks who don't want to read through all my past blog posts.  Just read what Susan Sarandon says, "If McCain gets in, it's going to be very, very dangerous," she says.  It's a critical time, but I have faith in the American people. If they prove me wrong, I'll be checking out a move to Italy. Maybe Canada, I don't know. We're at an abyss."

So Sarandon says she will move if John McCain gets in office.  Hey, vote for McCain so we can see if Sarandon will really move!!! Laughing

Catholic Priest, Father Pfleger, was a guest at Trinity United Church of Christ.  As most of you know, Pfleger (a friend of Trinity Church and Barack Obama) went off on Hillary Clinton in his so-called spiritual message.  Oh, by the way, Pfleger is now apologizing for his foul and "out of control" sermon.  If you need to reminded of the rant, check out the video below.

So can we blame Obama for Pfleger's rant?  In all honesty, I don't believe we can fault Obama for the rantings.  So why is this an issue?  Well, because it further exposes his circle of friends.  We are seeing the type of crowd with which he likes to hang around.  Of course, he rebuked Pfleger right away (a political tactic he learned from the Jeremiah Wright debacle).  But this does not excuse him from the fact that he is drawn to people who have these looney tendencies.

Oh, by the way, read the tax code related to political "sermons"...

Under the Internal Revenue Code, all IRC section
501(c)(3) organizations, including churches and religious
organizations, are absolutely prohibited from directly or
indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political
campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate
for elective public office. Contributions to political campaign
funds or public statements of position (verbal or
written) made by or on behalf of the organization in favor
of or in opposition to any candidate for public office
clearly violate the prohibition against political campaign
activity. Violation of this prohibition may result in denial
or revocation of tax-exempt status and the imposition of
certain excise tax.

In response to John McCain's suggestion that Obama should go to Iraq and talk to the military and see the progress on the ground, Mr. Slick told the New York Times, “I think that if I’m going to Iraq, then I’m there to talk to troops and talk to commanders, I’m not there to try to score political points or perform,” he told the newspaper. “The work they’re doing there is too important.”

More of his "eloquent" double talk!  Hey you knuclehead, McCain said you should go to Iraq to talk to the troops and see the progress there first hand.  He didn't say to go there to get political points.  Where does this guy come up with the B.S.?!?!?!

This is one of the best quotes of the campaign... “Obama has done shockingly little to educate himself firsthand about the war in Iraq. Instead, he displays an arrogant certainty gained on the campaign trail. … Obama’s failure to visit Iraq, listen and learn firsthand and witness the surge’s progress demonstrates weak leadership that disqualifies him from being commander in chief.”

Senator McCain also said, "He could meet Gen. Petraeus and he could meet Ambassador [Ryan] Crocker, and he could see — he could see the fact that Sadr City is quiet. He could see that the Maliki government has taken control of Basra. He could see that the Iraqi military is leading the fight in these places with the support of American troops."

Mr. Slick has only visited Iraq once in the last 2.5 years.  However, McCain called him out today and invited him to go with him to Iraq so that he can see, first hand, the progress being made.  He offered Obama an opportunity to talk to the troops in country and to talk to General Petraeus.  Obama responded by saying that he will considered going, but not with McCain.  He said, however, that no plans are being made to go.

“I don’t think we want to continue a misguided foreign policy and an endless war in Iraq that has cost us thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars while making us less safe and less secure,” Obama said.  “That’s the choice in this election. On issue after issue, John McCain is offering more of the same policies that have failed for the last eight years.”

Mr. Slick talks a good talk, but when it's time for the rubber to hit the road, he balks!  He says that McCain's military background and his family's military background is a problem for him to become Commander in Chief.  I am sorry, but I just don't see the logic.  Obama seems to think that hiding his head in the sand and his none existent military background makes him more qualified to lead this country as Commander in Chief.  Hmm... more of his dumb logic.  However, he is such an eloquent speaker that people fall for his line of crap!

As a veteran and a son of a veteran, I find his refusal to go to Iraq to get the truth insulting!  What is he scared of?  Is he worry that he will find out that progress is being made.  That should make him and every American happy.

Barack Obama should be selling used cars and bridges!

Obama has received criticism in the past for his lack of military service.  Face it, how can he be Commander in Chief when he has no clue how the military works or what it's members go through?  At any rate, the truth is military service is not required for one to be President.

If Obama would just admit that he lacks knowledge in military operations, he would be better off.  However, he tends to bring up his grandfather's military service to somehow compensate for his not serving.  Give it up Obama!  Look, you are not a veteran and, while your grandfather deserves respect, you don't get anything just because your his grandson.

If that's not enough, he recently brought up his uncle's military service in WWII.  Again, Obama does not get any points for the hard work his uncle performed.  So why the heck is he even bringing it up?  Anyway, he said his uncle liberated Auschwitz.  Well, that's interesting!  The Russians liberated Auschwitz.  So Mr. Slick, trying to get recognition for something his family members did (before he was born, mind you), screws up the story.  Listen up Obama!  Your uncle probably liberated Buchenwald if he served in the 89th Infantry as you claimed.

Obama is an absolute bozo!!!  Why in the world are people following him like cattle? It is ashamed that he has so many hypnotized by his B.S.

Every Memorial Day weekend and Veteran's Day I spend the time to remember those with which I served and remember those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.  My wife gives me a lot of space during these holidays because she knows that these days are special to me.  I spent a good deal of my young life serving my country and those years had a huge impact on my values and the way I think.

I also think of the men and women who served during the "Greatest Generation" who served to protect the very freedom we all enjoy and many times take for granted.  World War II was a time when this nation pulled together to ensure victory.  It's too bad that many Americans don't have the perseverence nor the will to win the war on terror in which we are currently engaged.

Always on my mind are the men and women currently serving to keep the war on terror off of our soil.  Their efforts are not forgotten by the Right Wing Squadron.

For those who have serve from the birth of this country to present the Right Wing Squadron salutes you and thanks you for your service.

Ealier in the year Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick was looking into ways to offer illegal immigrants in-state tuition to it's state colleges.  However, he decided against the idea due to "significant legal impediments".

It amazes me that he even considered it.  While he recinded the action, the loons are having hissy fits.

"This would be slamming the door on hundreds of students who are graduating this year," said Loren McArthur, staff director of the Merrimack Valley Project, a group of churches, labor unions, and others who sent Patrick 300 letters this month urging him to act now. "If this is his decision, it's unfortunate. But we will be urging him to reconsider."

"We had hoped that the governor would honor his commitments and his promises to make education access fair for all Massachusetts students," said Shuya Ohno, spokesman for the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition. "He understood that it was a question of fairness. What he couldn't articulate is that it actually makes money for the state."

Now, I am sure there are illegal immigrants who are very bright and gifted students.  No doubt race has nothing to do with those who have the gumption to excel in school, however, the operative word here is "illegal".  Why not give special tuition to criminals who decided to rob a liquor store?  If students and their parents who are here illegally want to get these special benefits, why not get "legal"?  Why take up seats in our schools that should be open for people that are here legally.

For you left wing loons that don't understand what illegal means, here is the definition from the dictionary... "not according to or authorized by law : unlawful, illicit; also : not sanctioned by official rules (as of a game)."  Is that so hard to understand?

Iowa Senator Harkin said that John McCain is unfit to be Commander in Chief because of his military service and his military family.  Duh... what!  “It’s one thing to have been drafted and served, but another thing when you come from generations of military people and that’s just how you’re steeped, how you’ve learned, how you’ve grown up," Harkin said.

Holy cow!  From under what rock did this knuclehead crawl out of?  Is he suggesting that Obama is more qualified to be Commander in Chief because he has not served in the military and is clueless of military operations?

Obama is trying to tell the American people that the threat of Iran is tiny compared to the former Soviet Union, so therefore, we should open talks with Ahmadinejad.  Is he out of his mind!!!  The cold war and what we are dealing with now are two entirely different scenarios.  He made reference to the Cuba missle crisis by saying that Kennedy talked with Khrushchev and got the missles out.

Barack Obama needs to study up on the Bay of Pigs before making stupid statements.  For one, Kennedy did not have direct talks with Khrushchev.  In fact, he never even personally called him.  He did send letters and he had staff talk to Khrushchev on the phone.  However, as for the Cuban missle crisis, Kennedy did not use dialect to get the missles out.  He ordered military action in the form of Naval blockades and used the threat of military force (to the extent of nuclear warfare) to convince the Soviets to remove the missles.

Yes, Iran does not have the arms that the Soviets had, however, comparing the 2 nations are like comparing apples and oranges.  Ahmadinejad runs Iran like a rogue state.  Iran supplies terrorist and Americans have died as a direct result of those military supplies.  Talking to Ahmadinejad is giving him the same credibility as the heads of state of Germany, Great Britian or France.  There is no comparison.  Let's face it... Khrushchev was not the nutbag that Ahmadinejad is.

"Mr. Gore's movie, asserting a 'consensus' and 'settled science' in agreement about human-caused global warming, conveyed the claims about human-caused global warming to ordinary movie goers and to public school children, to whom the film was widely distributed. Unfortunately, Mr. Gore's movie contains many very serious incorrect claims which no informed, honest scientist could endorse," said Art Robinson.

Who is Art Robinson?  Art Robison is the founder of Project Petition which has, at the time of this writing, more than 31,000 scientists across the U.S. – including more than 9,000 Ph.D.s in fields such as atmospheric science, climatology, Earth science, environment and dozens of other specialties who have signed a petition rejecting "global warming," the assumption that the human production of greenhouse gases is damaging Earth's climate.

The project has fulfilled the expectations of its organizers. In PhD scientist signers alone, the project already includes 15-times more scientists than are seriously involved in the United Nations IPPC process. The very large number of petition signers demonstrates that, if there is a consensus among American scientists, it is in opposition to the human-caused global warming hypothesis rather than in favor of it.

Is Al Gore's movie, "An Inconvenient Truth" really an inconvenient lie?  You decide... http://www.petitionproject.org

Side note: Just for the record, the Right Wing Squadron believes everyone has a personal responsiblity to take care of our environment.  However, we do not endorse those making claims that global warming is caused by humans.  We believe, as other scientists, that global warming is a natural phenomenon and will occur regardless of any human intervention.  While we don't fall for Al Gore politcal ranting about global warming and the liberal's view that we are the cause of the phenomenon, we still urge people to be wise users of energy and be aware of your impact on the environment.
