Obama supports out of the womb abortions on live infants, but he denies it.

During an interview with the Christian Broadcast Network, Obama says that people are lying about his stand on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.  BAIPA initiative was design to prevent abortions after a baby is born alive out of the womb.  This can sometimes occur afer a failed abortion attempt or when a mother refuses to accept a child.  BAIPA supporters say that Barack Obama voted down the initiative at the Illinois State Legislature while he was a state senator.  Obama says they are lying, however, the "Right to Life" folks have produced documentation that says differently. 

They have proof that he did, infact, vote it down.  When confronted with this, he says that he voted it down because it threatened Roe v. Wade which legalizes abortion.  He said that if the state initiative had the same clause as the federal initiative (that protects Roe v. Wade) he would have voted for it.  Ah, but this is where is gets interesting.  Obama was the Chairman for the commitee responsible for the bill.  His commitee placed the same wording in the initiative to make it the same as the federal initiative and he voted it down a second time.  He still says the "Right to Life" folks are lying.
