invesco fieldYou know, I thought Mr. Slick got the message that smart Americans did not fall for his his rock star trip and stagecraft in Europe.  I thought it was apparent to even the most casual observer that playing celebrity hurt his poll numbers.  Oh, but, he just loves himself too much.  Now he has built Invesco Field into some kind of Pantheon looking stage with columns reminisent of ancient Greek architecture.  Is he kidding!  Hasn't he played enough rock star!

To regain ground he lost with the working class, the DNC has been pushing speeches pitching working class values.  Obama has been accused of being and "elitist"  If he is trying to shake the image, this over-the-top stagecraft is not helping.  He is so full of himself that he has lost his grip on reality!

Well, the "The One" will be glorified by his followers soon and the coronation will be loved by the MSM and the "rocket scientist" celebs that are supporting him.

I watched portions of Hillary Clinton's speech last night at the DNC.  I must say it sounded pretty good.  I not sure she really meant what she said, but hey, she's just a gog in the Democratic machine and does what her handlers tell her to do.

During the primaries she said the Obama was not ready to lead this country.  Although she endorsed him during her speech last night, did you notice that she still would not say that he was ready to lead!

At any rate, I think the Dem's made two mistakes (ok, they have made countless mistakes).  First, I think she would have been a better candidate for them and second, once they made Obama the presumptive nominee, I think she would have been a better VP pick.  As for us McCain supporters though, we are better off with their bad decisions.

As her supporters were interviewed, especially women, so many of them are angry at their party and openly said they are voting for McCain!  Thanks Hillary!  I just can't help but think that Hillary is secretly hoping McCain wins the election.  In fact, I truly believe that she feels McCain will do a better job than Mr. Slick.  Of course, she could never admit to that.

Speaking at a forum in Denver, Bill had this to say, “Suppose for example you’re a voter and you have candidate X and you have candidate Y, Candidate X agrees with you on everything but you don’t think that person can deliver on anything. Candidate Y disagrees with you on half the issues but you believe that on the other half, the candidate will be able to deliver"

“This is the kind of question that I predict", Bill Clinton said, "and this has nothing to do with what’s going on now — but I am just saying if you look at five, 10, 15 years from now, you may actually see this delivery issue become a serious issue in Democratic debates because it is so hard to figure out how to turn good intentions into real changes in the lives of the people we represent.”

So what is he trying to say?  It sounds like he is saying McCain is the better choice.

Oh, and get this... Bill has decided to skip Obama's coronation, I mean acceptance speech at Invesco Field.

The American Issues Project created an ad about Obama's relationship with William Ayers, an American terrorist.  If you don't know who he is, the following video can bring you up to date.

The Obama campaign is using threats and initimidation to force TV stations from playing the ad.  The are also asking for Federal investigations on the folks at the American Issues Project.  They haven't disputed the ad because they can't prove that content is untrue.  So, instead, they are trying to go after the folks who created the ad.

It just goes to show you that Obama is quite capable of dirty politics, even though he tries to say that he is not like those other politicians.  If you ask me, he plays the political game as well as anyone else in Washington.

I think it is important for everyone to view the ad.  Please help spread it around.

Between Obama and Hillary, I personally think Hillary would have been a better nomination for the Surrender Party.  Why, well, at least we know who she is.  I am still trying to figure out Obama.  Even she can't figure out Mr. Slick.  She once said that she would bring experience to the table while Obama would bring a speech to the White House.  Now, to be fair, I don't want either of them in the Oval Office.

With the Surrender Party's Convention starting up, all we have been hearing about is how the Clintons feel disrespected and that Bill is bummed out with the spots he and his wife have gotten for the convention.  The Dems are pushing the "unified" theme because there is a fracture between the Clinton crowd and the Obama crowd. Personally, I think McCain would have had a harder time going up against Hillary than Obama.

Why are the Clintons still crying?  I think someone at the convention should get up on that stage and tell them to get over it and stop crying.  The Clintons just can't understand that they LOST!

To be honest, I hope that all this drama affects those sitting on the fence to vote for John McCain!

Hospitals have to go "out of pocket" to provide extended health care for illegal immigrants.  How do they recover their money... pass the costs on to the American consumer!

During an interview with the Christian Broadcast Network, Obama says that people are lying about his stand on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.  BAIPA initiative was design to prevent abortions after a baby is born alive out of the womb.  This can sometimes occur afer a failed abortion attempt or when a mother refuses to accept a child.  BAIPA supporters say that Barack Obama voted down the initiative at the Illinois State Legislature while he was a state senator.  Obama says they are lying, however, the "Right to Life" folks have produced documentation that says differently.

They have proof that he did, infact, vote it down.  When confronted with this, he says that he voted it down because it threatened Roe v. Wade which legalizes abortion.  He said that if the state initiative had the same clause as the federal initiative (that protects Roe v. Wade) he would have voted for it.  Ah, but this is where is gets interesting.  Obama was the Chairman for the commitee responsible for the bill.  His commitee placed the same wording in the initiative to make it the same as the federal initiative and he voted it down a second time.  He still says the "Right to Life" folks are lying.

Make your own call.  Check out the link below and then watch the video.

Now take a look at this...

Looks like Russia really wants their 15 minutes of fame.  They are making extremely bold statements.  They have actually told us to choose between Russia and Georgia.  In response to an agreement between the U.S. and Poland to create a missle defense system within Poland, Russia said that they will take action "beyond diplomacy".  Now they are saying that they have suspended international military cooperation events between Russia and NATO countries until further instructions."

Instead of pulling out of Georgia (as they have aggreed) they are apparently digging in around Georgia's port city of Poti.  It is fairly obvious that they want to reclaim the former Soviet bloc country.  The former KGB Putin yearns for the old days.

Why doesn't the rest of Europe speak up?  I really don't see them taking a strong stand.  I believe they don't want to upset Russia because they don't think Georgia is important enough to worry about.  I believe the the EU and NATO should work quickly to admit Georgia and other former blocs into NATO.

I read on Rueters that McCain has actually taken a lead in the polls.  According to the news agency, McCain has opened up a 5 point lead on Obama.  Click here to read more...

The Reuter's article says McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.  Further, they reported that John McCain edges out Obama by 9 percentage points on the question of who would be the best manager for the economy.

CNN is reporting that McCain is has come within 3 percentage points of Obama's lead while the LA Times/Bloomberg poll puts McCain within 2 points, well within the poll's margin of error.

Is there a trend going on here?  I certainly hope so!  The media has credited this turn around on the attack ads, McCain's quick response to Russia's invasion of Georgia while Obama was vacationing and Obama's reluctance to firmly stand on off shore drilling in comparison to McCain's decisive support to drill.

I am positive that the Saddleback Forum will also bolster favorable opinions for those voters sitting on the fence.

We still have a way to go and the race is still open for either candidate to win.  I believe the upcoming debates will certainly sway voters and, quite frankly, Obama is pretty good at prepared debates.  The other thing that can affect Senator McCain's bid is his choice for veep.  I personally think it is a mistake to select a pro-choice advocate for VP.  I mean, he hit the ball out of the park when he answered the abortion question at Saddleback Church.  He should ride that wave all the to the beach (sorry, I am from Hawaii)!

Andrea Mitchell, NBC's Chief Foreign Correspondent, floated the idea that John McCain was not in the "Cone of Silence" prior to his appearance at the Saddleback Forum.

On NBC's "Meet the Press" the panel was discussing how direct John McCain's answers were in contrast to Obama.  When Andrea Mitchell was asked to comment about McCain's ability to respond quickly and decisively she said, "Oh, absolutely. And, you know, there was the crisp, immediate, forceful response by John McCain, clearly in a comfort zone because he was with his base. And Barack Obama, taking a risk in going there but seeing an opportunity. And a much more nuanced approach. The Obama people must feel that he didn't do quite as well as they might have wanted to in that context, because that -- what they're putting out privately is that McCain may not have been in the cone of silence and may have had some ability to overhear what the questions were to Obama."

Why can't the Obama supporters (like NBC) just admit that McCain did well in the debate.  Instead they find some kind of excuse as to why McCain was able to directly and decisively answer the questions with brevity and confidence.  Frankly, John McCain responded to the questions with the answers that he has been giving all along during the campaign.  He doesn't have to rethink his answers everytime he comes in front of a different crowd.

Obama, on the other hand tries too hard to not alienate any one group so he takes very long to answer questions as vaguely as possible.  He tries to make his responses sound intelligent, however, when you take all the "uh uh", "well..." and other "filler BS" out of his response, you come up empty.  Look, everyone knows that they guy will do anything to become president even if it means pandering to opposing groups.  I mean, why couldn't he have just come out and and said he supports abortion instead of giving us a long winded answer full of "uh's" and academic rhetoric that finally ended with not being able to answer the question with specificity because it is out of his pay grade!

By the way, I loved the way Rick Warren posed the question about the abortion issue.  He asked the candidates when does a child begin to receive human rights.  Of course, Obama was stumped by the question and anything that he had prepared just flew out of the window.  McCain, however, came right out and said, "at conception".

However, NBC's Andrea Mitchell just couldn't resist saying that John McCain knew the answers before hand.  Frankly, NBC's biased reporting is sickening.
