The ACLU did it again, they successfully sued Slidell City Court, Judge James Lamz and St. Tammany Parish for displaying a portrait of Jesus in the foyer of a Louisiana courthouse. U.S. District Judge Ivan Lemelle awarded "nominal" fees to the ACLU who sued the court on behalf of an unidentified person who complained about the display.
Lemelle said that the plaintiffs' constitutional rights were violated by the display, which depicted Jesus presenting the New Testament above the words, "To Know Peace, Obey These Laws." Further explained that "context" is the "crucial factor" in determining if a religious display is unconstitutional.
I find this incredible. Atheists are free to practice their "religion", but any Christian symbol or icon is considered "unconstitutional". It's amazing that this country can show all kinds of filth on the media and it's alright, but have a picture of Jesus on a wall and the left wing loons come unglued!
Not to long ago colleges built foot washing facilities and prayer rooms for Muslims. Where was the ACLU when that happened? A public school in San Diego county created prayer time and a room for Muslim students. Again, the ACLU didn't do a thing!
