Barack Obama tries to brush off his connection with Bill Ayers by saying that Ayers' terrorists activities (which included bombing government buildings) occured when he was 8 years old and that his relationship with Ayers was casual.  The fact is Obama held a campaign event at Bill Ayers home in 1995.  Would you hold an event at your house if you don't have a bond or connection with that person?  Come on, how stupid does Obama think we are?  Obama also served together on the nine-member board of the Woods Fund, a Chicago nonprofit, for three years beginning in 1999.  Want more?  Well, they have also appeared jointly on two academic panels, one in 1997 and another in 2001.

During an interview with Connie Chung in 1998 Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, another Weather Underground terrorsit, said that they would do it all over again. On September 11, 2001 Ayers was quoted by the New York Times as saying: "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."

So Obama had a relationship prior to Connie Chung's interview and spanned well past the interview.  Do you really think Obama is so out of touch that he didn't know who Ayers was or what his beliefs are?

If you are an Obama supporter, then think about this... if you believe Obama did not know about Ayers' beliefs then why would you want this uninformed person leading our country.  If you believe that he knew about Ayers' belief then, again, why would you want him to lead this country?  Either way, it doesn't make for a good leader.

Ayers hates the United States so why did Obama have a relationship with him? Further, Ayers still feels the same as he did over 30 years ago.

Oh, here is a picture of Ayers that appeared in a Chicago magazine in August 2001 (you can even read the article... click here).

A video was released of a Gitmo interrogation.  It shows a Gitmo detainee who was deprived of sleep and being questioned.  Frankly the prisoner was being treated pretty well for someone who was trying to kill Americans.  But of course, a lawyer is trying to say he was treated inhumanely.  You can click the link below and see the video for yourself.  I am sure you will find that he is being treated pretty well.  Consider this while watching it... if you were the parents of U.S. Soldier what was killed the grenade thrown by this young terrorist, would you think that his interrogation was too harsh.  See for yourself...

Obama agreed with the Supreme Court ruling last week that detainees in Guantanamo, Cuba have a constitutional right to challenge their indefinite imprisonment in U.S. civilian courts. McCain derided the ruling as "one of the worst decisions in the history of this country."

It is inconceivable that foreign terrorists should be given the same rights as U.S. citizens.  The liberals want to give away the rights we enjoy as being citizens of this great country.  They want to make us no different from the terrorists who want to kill Americans!

Former Secretary of the Navy said,“The terrorists should have due process but what Obama said that this is the right approach shows a very deep ignorance of the facts and a very dangerous policy."

Obama is completely ignorant of the danger this country faces.  He and other Democrats (the Surrender Party) say the GOP is guilty of fear mongering.  The fact is, the GOP (just for the record, I am an Independent) is only guilty of dealing with reality.  John McCain knows that we need to take a hard stand to defend this country from Islamo-Terrorists.  The left wing loons just don't have the will nor the stamina to fight the war on terror.

Obama does have the pre-911 mindset with which he has been accused.  That is why cut and run wussies like John Kerry has jumped on board with his endorsement.  Remember, this is the guy who ran away from his duties in Viet Nam for a minor wound to join up with Jane Fonda during the Viet Nam war.  John Kerry and Barack Obama want our country to lose the war on terror.  That is their M.O.!

Ayman al-Zawahri, Al-Qaida's No. 2, claims in a newly released audio tape that five years of U.S. occupation of Iraq has brought only "failure and defeat."  Wow, that's sounds just like the Democrats!  It's too bad the Democrats, like Al Qaida, doesn't want us to win the war!  I am sure Al Qaida will agree on the "cut and run" policy of the Surrender Party.

Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper says NATO's future and reputation is on the line.  Harper says Canada will pull it's troops out of Southern Afganistan, where the Taliban activity is highest, if another NATO nation does not send at least 1000 troops to that troubled region.

European allies' refusal to deploy to Afghanistan's dangerous south and east has opened a rift with Britain, Canada, the Netherlands and others which, along with the United States, have borne the brunt of Taliban violence.

While I think that fighting islamo-terrorism is every country's responsibility, I can see where the Canadians are frustrated by NATO's lack of enthusiasm to fight the war on terrorism.  Outside of Britain and the Netherlands, the Europeans just don't want to get their hands dirty.  They refuse to help out in the dangerous southern region, however, they enjoy the safety the U.S. and it's allies provide them as a result of the hard work our countries have provided.

I certainly hope we can convince our allies to the north to continue the fight.

Fox News reported that former President Carter will be visiting Syria in mid-April.  While Carter's press secretary Deanna Congileo will not confirm any meetings during Carter's stay in Syria, Al-Hayat, an Arabic-Language newspaper reported that Carter will be meeting with Khaled Meshal.  Meshal is the exhiled head of Hamas who directs the terrorist group from Damascus.  Some say that he is responsible for the kidnapping of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

Ibrahim Hooper, communications director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, says that Carter "has a great amount of credibility in the region...".  Yeah, he has a great amount of credibility because he often sympathizes with the Palestinian terrorists.  He should care more about the security of the American people.  Carter is among the looniest left wingers in America!  Remember, he was the one who sat on his rear-end while Americans were being held hostage in Iran for over a year.  Not until President Reagan took office were the hostages released!

Now Congileo won't confirm any meetings during his trip, so maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt.  However, if he does meet with this Meshal, then he is legitimizing him and his terror organization.

Am I being too harsh with the former President?  Well, let's see what others are saying.

“It’s about par for the course from President Carter, demonstrating a lack of judgment typical of what he does," said John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. "To go to Syria to visit Hamas at this point is just an ill-timed, ill-advised decision on his part.  When you put the prestige of a former president of the United States in a meeting with one of its terrorist leaders, you’re giving it a legitimacy and currency it never had,” said Bolton.

“I’m not surprised that Carter would do this, as he has been supporting Palestinian extremism for many years,” said Steve Emerson, director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, a watchdog group. “I think this [visit] undermines the U.S. policy of isolating Hamas,” said Emerson. “I think this encourages Europeans to further dilute their sanctions against the Hamas government.”

President Bush has asked NATO to step up contributions in Afganistan to keep Al Qaeda and the Taliban on their heels.  He stated that if the world did not stay on the offense, terrorist would set up camp and use the country to launch offensive strikes.  With the current situation in Denmark and the activity in Spain, Britain and Germany, this should be increasingly important to the Europeans.  The U.S. has kept the terrorists on the run by bringing the fight to their own region.  This disruption has certainly had an impact on the terrorists making it difficult for them to organize and strike outside of the region.  However, the U.S. takes criticism from many of the same nations that have benefited from our fight on terrorism.  Even worse, we get criticized by our own citizens who have enjoyed relative safety from terrorist attacks occurring in our own country since 911.

I would like to see other countries step in and give the U.S. a hand.  This fight on terror is global, as such, the rest of the free world should step up in their countributions.

I have had co-workers and friends tell me that McCain is going to screw up the economy by keeping troops in Iraq.  I have news for them.  If we don't stabilize the situation in Iraq, the islamo-terrorists that want to kill Americans will set up house.  Once that happens, you can count on a couple things.  One, oil will go through the roof.  Two, they will step up their attacks on America.

Ok, the first issue is self-explanatory.  The current price for oil is already making an economic impact here.  Can you imagine what will happen when the insurgents de-stabilize the region?  As for the second issue, giving the terrorist more resources to set up camp is dangerous.  The fact is, Iran will influence, train and equip the terrorist.  Remember, Ahmadinejad is not exactly friendly with the U.S. or Israel.  As he has already stated, he wants Israel removed from the face of the planet.  We cannot afford to lose this important ally.  Further, once the islamo-terrorists gain strength, they will attack this country again.  If they are successful in bringing a war to our own soil, we won't have to worry about the economy.  We will have much bigger issues at hand.

McCain wants to keep the fight on terrorism off shore.  He knows that our national security is our highest priority.  We live in a very different world since 911.  This ain't the hippie days of the flower children (been there, done that).  The liberals live in story book land.  Terrorism is real.  Let secure our nation to help keep our economy secure.

Emboldened by wacko loon Hugo Chavez, Correa responded to Bush's support for Colombia by saying, "Bring your soldiers Mr Bush.  Let it be your soldiers who die along the southern border with Colombia. We'll see if the Americans, the citizens of the United States, will accept tremendous atrocity.  If not, shut your mouth and understand what is happening in Latin America."

He has got to be kidding, he couldn't even stop Colombia's soldiers from rounding up the FARC terrorists hiding in his country.  Is he living in a bubble?  Hasn't he seen what the U.S. Military can do to an entire country.  Ecuador would be toast in 2 weeks.  He better watch out what he wishes for... he just might get it!

I am sure you have seen or read about the fires set to the "Dream Homes" in Washington.  As you know, they found a 4ft ELF sign at the scene.  The sign said, "Built green?  Nope black!".  ELF (Earth Liberation Front), the little sister of the Animal Liberation Front (ALF), is considered a domestic terrorist group by the FBI.  They are a loose band of eco-knuckleheads that have no organized membership or seated leaders.  Setting fires to homes is their signature.  They claimed responsibility for burning five townhouses under construction in 2005.  Last year self-proclaim ELF and ALF members were convicted for arson fires totalling more than $40 million.  Briana Waters, another self-proclaimed ELF eco-terrorist, is currently on trial for a fire set at the University of Washington in 2001.  Briana Waters is a violin teacher.  Gee, I wonder if her violins are "built green"?

Anyway, back to my question... Should we go after them like we do Al Qaeda and other terrorists?  ABSOLUTELY!  They are using heinous acts to commit terror within our borders.  Why should they be treated any different.  We need to go after them with the same vengence as we do other terrorists!
