The Obama campaign likes to pitch Bush and McCain as more of same.  Well, if you like the way Congress is handling affairs, well consider this...

More of the same!

Jon Voight, former liberal turned conservative, is getting slammed by the Hollywood left wing loons because of an op-ed piece he wrote in the Washington Times.  Voight repudiated his own Vietnam War protests as the naive flailings of a deluded youth.

Some dude named Jeffrey Wells who runs a movie and pop culture (pop culture simply means liberal eye brow waxers) said that if he were a Hollywood big-wig he would tell Voight to "eat cake" if he tried out for a role.  What the heck does "eat cake" mean?  Jeffrey, I can think of something you can eat!

It's refreshing to see that there are people with conservative values in a place where the main stream loons cheer for films like "Redacted" and "Lions for Lambs".

The Right Wing Squadron salutes Jon Voight!

According to a Fox News report, Pelosi, while holding her ground on the drilling issue, is privately telling Democrats who represent districts who support off shore drilling to back drilling so that they can appease their districts and hold on to their seats.  She knows it won't really matter because she is stone walling the drill vote.  She is such a phoney!  The liberal Democrats will do anything to keep their seats even if it's fooling their own constituents.

No wonder she is leading a congress that got a single digit approval rating.

The American people need to know how she could care less about what they want.  She is all about her own personal agenda.

obama energy planMike Slater, McCain's senior aide, told the traveling press corp that he was going to hand out Obama's Energy Plan.  After they got airborn on a short flight, Salter passed out tire gauges labeled "Obama's Energy Plan."

Of course, this was in response to a suggestion Obama made last Wednesday saying, "We could save all the oil that they're talking about getting off drilling, if everybody was just inflating their tires."

So there you have it.  Obama said that we can make up all the oil we need and get off of foreign independence by inflating our tires.  Holy cow!  Oh, and he's got a bunch of people buying into his stupid proposals.  According to a CNN, 64% of those polled by them said they liked Obama's plan over McCain's.  His supporters are like misguided sheep.

A national tracking poll shows Obama losing a 9 point lead.  What is causing the loss?  After his world tour, some would think that he would have shot up in the polls.  However, Americans could care less about the 200,000 Germans showing up for free beer and music.  No, I believe the truckers who deal with getting their loads across our great country have more to worry about than what Germans think of Mr. Slick.  While Obama wants to be a citizen of the world, American citizens are concerned about the United States.

I also think that people are aware of his constant flip flopping.  He has been lying to the American voters for a long time and now it is catching up with him.  Even his own left wing loon backers are noticing his movement across conservative lines.  Now he is flopping on off shore drilling!  In June he said opposed off shore drilling.  Now he says that he can compromise.  I am sure his tree hugging buddies are having cows.

Yes, I believe people are seeing that, while he talks a good talk, he may not be able to walk the good walk.  The longer this campaign goes on, the more he exposes himself as an unsubstantive and inexperienced senator.

Moment of Truth in IraqI just finished reading Michael Yon's book, "The Moment of Truth in Iraq".  You really must put this on your MUST-READ list.  As an embedded journalist without network affiliations, Yon gives eye witness accounts of events in Iraq without media bias.  He is not a Green Zone writer.  He gets a well rounded view of the war by both the top brass and also by going on patrols with the troops.  During one of these patrols he actually gets caught in the middle of a gun battle and finds himself using a weapon himself.

Michael Yon is a former Green Beret so he is familiar with the military operations and, in particular, counterinsurgency.  His book gives great insight on how well our troops employ counterinsurgency techniques and how they have gained the confidence of the Iraqi people to the point that they are helping to rid their neighborhoods of Al Qaeda and other terrorist networks.

The book is a real eye opener and is a great read for both conservatives and liberals.  Yon does not take sides.  In fact, the military denied him access to Iraq twice.  He is a straight shooter.  I believe that anyone who reads his book will understand why we cannot immediately pull out of Iraq and that conditions on the ground must be taken into account.  Yes, we are winning the war in Iraq, however, he outlines why we need to ensure the Iraqi forces can handle security for their own country.  According to Yon, the Iraqi Army is improving and need our continued commitment to complete their transformation into a competent fighting force.

The Right Wing Squadron HIGHLY recommends this book and we give it 5 stars.

Let's take a look it the exact words that Obama spewed...

"Nobody really thinks that Bush or McCain have a real answer for the challenges we face," Obama said Wednesday in Springfield, Missouri. "So what they're going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he's not patriotic enough. He's got a funny name. You know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He's risky."

He started off saying referring to "Bush or McCain".  He then said, "...they're going to...".  So by saying, "they're" (they are), he is still referring to Bush or McCain.  He then goes on to say the things they (Bush or McCain) are going to say to make us scared of him.  He says they will refer to his funny name and then that he doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills.

First of all, he is still true to form as a liar because I don't ever recall Bush or McCain saying that Obama has a funny name.  Second, he is definitely playing the race card when he says that Bush or McCain will let everyone know that he doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills.  Say what!

Of course, Obama campaign spokesman David Axelrod says Obama wasn't playing the race card.  He went on to say, "Because what Sen. Obama was saying was that he's not exactly from central casting for presidential candidates, and he understands that, and he understands that that will be a source of contention."

If Obama wanted to make that point he should have just come out and say it that way.  Instead, he insinuated that Bush or McCain will try to scare everyone by making us aware that he doesn't look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills.  Some of his supporters said that  he was just making a joke.  Well, ha ha!  If a white candidate made inuendos like that, he/she would be incinerated.

You can put the pieces together along with his relationship with his pastor of 20 years and his racist remarks.  The picture should be clear to even the most casual observer.

Now I am neither white nor black so I don't have a dog in this race.  So I can see this clearly.  I see that Obama is using his race to get an upper hand on his opponent.  There is no way John McCain could have gotten away with a similar statement.

Obama is a dangerous, manipulating racist.  This is what the left wing loons want in office.  All I can say is... unbelievable!

As all of you know, Obama made idiotic statements that the opposition will make people fear him because he "doesn't look like the presidents on those dollar bills."  That was completely inappropriate and John McCain called him on it (and rightly so).  Mr. Slick is playing the race card and it was negative campaigning on his part.  However, in slick fashion he quickly bashed McCain for negative campaigning and said that John McCain was taking the low road and "practicing the politics of the past."

Obama tries to spin anything negative about himself as "practicing the politics of the past."  He will use lines like that because he offers no intelligent response to the fact that he played the race card.  Further, what makes him think that the brand of politics he practices holds any integrity.  I have only seen lies and flip flopping all over the place from the guy.  He is worse than John Kerry!  He says what he "thinks" people want to hear.  He will flip on any issue to satiate the particular audience he is addressing at any given time.

If lying to the American people is the politics of the future, then give me the politics of the past.

left wing loon nancy pelosi Over 70% of Americans favor off shore drilling, however, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), a staunch opponent of offshore drilling, has simply decreed that she will not allow a drilling vote to take place on the House floor.

What's up with that?!?!  Instead of getting her panties bunched up, why not let issue stand on it's own merits.  Let the vote take place?

She says that she is saving the planet!  Yes, she is single-handedly saving the world.  No, wait a minute Democrat Senator Harry Reid is her sidekick.  He too, is in "bed" with Pelosi on this issue.

When she became House Speaker she and the Democrat Majority said, "bills should generally come to the floor under a procedure that allows open, full and fair debate consisting of a full amendment process that grants the Minority the right to offer its alternatives."  Shouldn't drilling for oil be open for discussion too?  What is she and Reid afraid of?  Well, she is afraid that the will of the American people will trump her selfish desires.

She is being so unreasonable that small groups of Democrats have begun meeting informally with Republicans to try to reach a bipartisan response to higher oil prices, and opening up new areas to drilling is part of the mix. Leaders of both parties are openly pressing for drilling in the Arctic refuge and elsewhere.

Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) said, “Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are standing in the way of what the American people want.”

“I’m trying to save the planet; I’m trying to save the planet,” she says impatiently when questioned. “I will not have this debate trivialized by their excuse for their failed policy.”

“I respect the office that I hold,” she says. “And when you win the election, you win the majority, and what is the power of the speaker? To set the agenda, the power of recognition, and I am not giving the gavel away to anyone.”

Unfortunately, Pelosi is more interested in power than the American people!
