As we all know, Obama is pushing a stimulus package to help heal our economy. However, I am wondering if that isn't just a band-aid that doesn't provide us a long term solution.
Obama's proposal could cost us a trillion dollars. That is a great big hunk of money! It seems to me that we are just spending a bunch of our money for a short term solution. After all, the trillion dollars will come from U.S. taxpayers. So in effect, we are actually exacerbating the situation. What happens after the stimulus package dries up? Won't we end up back where we started.
Why not cut taxes and encourage businesses to thrive and drive the economy upward? I sure would like to hear from the rest of you folks!
